Core Component for Vertical Rotors – Main Support 120 cm

The main support forms the central element for vertical wind turbines with rotor heights up to 120 cm and diameters up to 150 cm. The 80 mm aluminum central tube is guided by two maintenance-free ball bearings inside, which sit on a steel flange. This allows for the direct mounting of a generator. A pulley can be attached to the tube or a poly-V belt can be used for generator drive – with gear ratios up to 1:4. Wing mounts can be installed at the top and bottom. Depending on the profile, Savonius or Darrieus rotors can be constructed. The performance depends on the chosen rotor profile.
